Finally a Blog Update

Life got away from me as we came into the Dance Competition season. We have been traveling every other week or more since the end of March. Cassandra had her first dance competition on Friday, Saturday and Sunday March 6th, 7th and 8th. That was dance explosion. All of their number placed in the top 10 of the category for the 300 plus dances in the competition. Pooh corner came in 4th place overall Petite small groups they got an elite gold medal, and 1st place in the category. Hey Mickey came in 5th place overall in petite small groups, gold medal and 1st in Category. Bangkok, came in 3rd place overall in Junior Large groups Platinum medal 1st in category and a special judges award for being dynamic. On top of that all 18 girls were invited to a convention to be a part of the Extreme Team where they get to learn from master coreographers and be a part of special showcase. We won't be participating in that because the next competition we also won an invite with a Powerpak for the same number and that coincides with our Nationals competition in July. We might take advantage of that she could have a chance to take classes with Justin Timberlake. Starpower was March 27th, 28th and 29th in lakeland and there were over 1000 dances competing. And we just got back from Starquest April 3rd, 4th and 5th. Haven't gotten the results yet for how we ranked. Pooh corner did get high gold and 1st place overall in the novice division. Anyway it gets kind of confusing when they are all squeezed together. Here are the Competition pieces we do at each event in full make-up and costume. These were recorded at Dance Xplosion in the beginning of March. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Today was a great day. Our fabulous little dancer did a charity Holiday Party today. She danced for the Candlelighters of Brevard Cancer Association. It was dinner theatre/ Kiwanis Club atmosphere, but oh were they great. I am posting 3 clips for you to see. #1. The warm-up, #2. The junior team doing Hey Mickey. #3.
